AdSeal Satin Finish Sealer

AdSeal Satin Finish is designed to give both flexibility of finish and outstanding results on unglazed natural materials such as Marble, Stone, Slate, Travetine, Terracotta, and also on Engineered stone.

The Finish of Your Choice

This is a special ‘high-build’ product – you choose whether you want a low decorative sheen or a satin finish. A ready to use solvent based protector. Simply apply one coat for a delicate colour enhancing low sheen and add further coats to increase the shine right up to a low gloss.

AdSeal Satin Finish largely prevents staining and facilitates routine maintenance plus it has very little effect on the slip resistance of the surface when applied as a low sheen single coat. Subsequent coats may reduce slip resistance.

Developed by our own design team and consultant organic chemists, this fantastic product offers ease of installation with excellent performance and longevity and is ideal for use as:

  • Natural Stone sealer
  • Slate sealer and slate tile sealer
  • Marble, limestone sealer
  • Terracotta and travertine sealer
  • and for most natural paving
  • also engineered paving products such as Marshalls, Bradstone, etc.
  • Wall and floor surfaces
  • Stairs and Terraces, etc.
  • Kitchen and conservatory floors
  • Can be used indoors or outdoors

Durability

Indoors and lightly trafficked areas, with correct maintenance and depending upon surface type, potentially 10 years plus. Externally colour will remain for 1 – 2 years although protective effect will remain for longer, potentially 4 – 6 years, depending upon surface type.

A major design feature of this product is that it is easily re-coatable and does not need stripping before future treatment as maintenance coats cross link into original forming a monolithic layer. Down time is minimised with rapid cure additives.

Fading of the colour and reduction in protective effect take place more rapidly in heavily trafficked areas and these areas can be easily ‘touched up’ without the need to strip the original coat. Lower trafficked areas will only need retreating very occasionally, if ever.

Maintenance

Sweep regularly to remove abrasive dirt and grit from surface and mop daily using a mild detergent. Spills and marks should be wiped up as soon as possible and not allowed to dry on.

Should signs of wear appear a Maintenance coat can be applied. Clean and thoroughly dry surface to be treated. Apply single ‘tight’ coat in accordance with standard application instructions. The new coat will cross link into earlier coats so there is no need to strip unless resin build up or blemishes are an issue.

Best sealant for Indian Stone?

This question was asked by - Alan Buxton
which sealant is best for indian Stone solvent based or water based?

It all depends on how you want the sealed paving to look, a solvent based sealer will enhance the colours and leave the paving looking like it does when it is damp, whereas the water based sealer will leave the paving looking more like it does when the paving is dry.
