i HAVE JUST HAS HAD 100SQM OF RAJ BLEND SANDSTONE LAYED IN THE GARDEN. THE JOB IS COMPLETE AND NOW AM LOOKING TO GET THE PAVING SEALED. TWO QUESTIONS WHEN SHOULD I APPLY THE SEALANT AFTER A NEW LAY WHAT SEALANT COULD BE RECOMMNDED FOR A NATURAL MATT FINSIH AND ONE FOR A WET LOOK. I HAVE SEEN ON THE PAVING EXPERT SITE THAT Heavy Duty Sealer IS A GOOD OPTION BUT I WANT TO BE SURE.
I have put links below to 3 suitable sealers, The water based one is a matt finish without altering the colour, the Stone and slate will give a matt/satin finish and enhance the colours and the Heavy duty is the same as the Stone and Slate but will give a satin/gloss finish.
You are best to leave it for 3-4 weeks after finishing to allow the mortar to completely dry before applying a sealer. Stone &17680 Slate Protector (SSP) Water Based Sealer Matt (WB25) Heavy Duty Sealer (HD) Drew PalinPlease can you tell me what sealer you recommend to seal for new laid black limestone we require a wet look finish
I recommend using the stone and slate as some black limestone can be quite nonporous and this sealer is a bit thinner so penetrates better, I also suggest scrubbing in the first coat to help aid with the adhesion.
if you are still looking for more of a gloss finish (the finish can depend on the stone), you could apply a top coat of our Heavy duty which will give more of a gloss/wet look finish. Stone & Slate Protector (SSP) Heavy Duty Sealer (HD) Drew PalinI want to seal my outside slate patio with a heavy duty high gloss sealer, which product would you recommend please?
You have a couple of options (links below) the Heavy duty sealer is the cheaper of the two and is easier to use but wont last as long, whereas the High gloss PU will last longer but you have to make sure that the paving is 100% dry and that you will have at least 5-6 hours of dry weather once it has been applied.
Heavy Duty Sealer (HD) High Gloss PU (HGPU) Drew PalinMy back door step is done with natural slate. I want to give it a wet look effect, what is the best product you can recommend for sealing outdoor slate?
If you are looking for a wet look on natural stone, I would recommend using our Heavy Duty sealer.
https://www.advancedsealingsolutions.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-Sealer.html Drew PalinI have recently laid Indian flags and I'm wanting a wet look as I beleive its looks nicer which would you recommend which can be used with the easy joint product that you brush in the joints as that is what I'll be doing for my pointing kind regards daniel
Below I have posted the link to our jointing compound, this way you can seal the paving as soon as you have done the jointing, if you use the jointing compound where you wet the paving you will need to leave it a few days to dry before you can seal it.
The other link is to the Heavy duty sealer, this will give you a gloss finish. https://www.advancedsealingsolutions.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-Sealer.html https://www.advancedsealingsolutions.co.uk/Magic-Sand-Liquid-Pack.html Drew Palin
